We are currently on our first family holiday and Norfolk by the Sea was the perfect choice of dog friendly location!
We were welcomed with a lovely basket of goodies – even some for the pups!
They have four properties (all of which are utterly gorgeous!) http://norfolkbythesea.com/m.index.html
We are staying in the property called Pinrush which is simply gorgeous – the house and garden are just perfect for Billy the pups and I , there is plenty of room for the boys to mooch about and explore!
Billy even gets a gaming room on the second floor 😂
Toby as always has taken it all in his stride, found a comfy spot near the wood burner (we’ve yet to use this) Amos has bumped his way around and can now negotiate the downstairs with out too many collisions, the downstairs is set out beautifully, very spacious (which certainly helps Amos) and has everything you could think of.
The kitchen is so beautiful (I feel like I just aged several years for making that comment – but it has to be said!!) it has everything you could think of and more included!
I cooked myself and Billy a meal yesterday evening and everything was in a logical easy to find place and everything we needed was ready for us which was a great relief and really adds to the stay!
Norfolk by the sea is a fifteen minute walk away from the most beautiful beach and sand dunes which Toby has thoroughly enjoyed exploring so far!
I took Toby to the beach first thing to scout the route out for later in the day as Amos is still on shorter walks due to him growing and I also needed to see how busy etc. The route was before we tried to take Amos that way!
Toby and I had a whale of a time at the beach (the beach is a happy place for me and Toby!) so we went back later that day to take Amos and Billy for an explore!
Our venture to the beach was rained on – but we all still had fun and that’s all that matters!
After a rainy beach walk we headed to Dunes Cafe to warm up with a hot chocolate and slice of cake and to finally get to meet Vicki (who manages Norfolk by the Sea) – the hot chocolate was amazing as was the caramel shortbread! I would highly recommend stopping there if you are visiting the area! https://dunescafe.weebly.com/
This was Amos’ first cafe experience and Dunes made it super easy for us as they have little dog huts you can go and sit in with your pups! Which limited the amount of distractions Amos had to deal with 👍🏼
We also made sure we had his licki Mat to keep him occupied – which was a complete hit!
Wednesday 25th April!
This morning Toby and I made the most of the grassy play areas that are available to use at Norfolk by the Sea and had a mooch about and a game of Frisbee whilst the other two slept in (lazy boys!)
Once the other two boys were up and ready we headed out to explore the Norfolk Broads!
We hired a boat for a few hours and Billy became Captain Billy with co-captain Toby!
The boys have never been on a boat before and they both did amazingly well!
Both boys had their lickimats to help settle them in then were very happy and relaxed – Amos was slightly more sensitive to new noises – which we expect in most situations but took it all in his stride and did us proud – they both did! Toby was a good lad and made sure that he sat near Amos to reassure him and let him use his back pack as a pillow 😂
Once we had semi successfully moored the boat back up we headed back to the house to have some lunch!
I took Toby for another beach walk in the afternoon and Amos and Billy stayed at the house doing boy stuff (game room … 🎮)
We got rained on again! But the weather never puts us off! We love the beach no matter the weather!!
We have another few exciting days of holiday left and will post another update before we head home!
We are off out for dinner tonight so I must go and get the boys dolled up in their Dickie Bows!
Happy Wednesday all!! ❤️
